Job Title: SEMH Tutor
Location: Henley-on-Thames
Pay: £20–£30 per hour
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEMH Tutor to support young people in the Henley-on-Thames area. Our students present with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), including low confidence, anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA).
Role Responsibilities
* Deliver 1:1 or small group tuition to students with SEMH needs.
* Assess learning needs and plan tailored schemes of work.
* Provide engaging, creative lessons that build confidence and resilience.
* Record progress and feedback to parents/carers and the wider team.
* Support students to re-engage positively with education.
Person Specification
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a minimum of 3 years’ proven tutoring experience.
* Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support learners.
* Patient, empathetic and adaptable teaching style.
* Ability to create structured yet flexible learning plans.
* Reliable, professional and committed to improving outcomes for young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
