We are seeking an experienced KS1 HLTA to join one of our partner primary schools in Bradford. This role offers an opportunity to support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and take on greater responsibility within the school.
The Role – KS1 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
As a KS1 HLTA working with Academics, you will:
* Lead small group interventions and deliver planned lessons in the teacher’s absence.
* Support the class teacher in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities.
* Help create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
* Foster pupils’ independence, confidence, and love of learning.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure every child thrives.
About You
To be considered for this KS1 HLTA position, you should have:
* Proven experience supporting teaching and learning in a Key Stage 1 setting.
* HLTA status or an equivalent Level 4 qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
* Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* Confidence to lead groups and deliver pre-planned lessons independently.
* A genuine passion for helping young children achieve their full potential.
