We are looking for an Apprentice Chef to join our kitchen team, working in our purpose built premises in Bangor, Co. Down, catering for various events throughout Ireland.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Currently Enrolled in Work Based Apprenticeship in Professional Chef or similar
Desirable: Clean Driving Licence
Hours of Work: Flexibility Essential
Wages: Negotiable on experience
Key Responsibilities
* Assist chefs with food preparation and cooking for event catering.
* Learn how to prepare meals in bulk while maintaining consistent high quality and presentation.
* Support with loading, unloading, and setting up catering operations at venues.
* Help with stock rotation, food storage, and maintaining accurate records.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, workstations, and catering vehicles. Be knowledgeable and comply with health, safety, hygiene, fire and security regulations and procedures of Posh Nosh and to ensure that all others are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
* Work as part of a team to ensure efficient service under time-sensitive conditions.
* Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship programme.
* Undertake training in all areas of the kitchen with a responsible and positive approach to learning the correct methods of kitchen work.

* A passion for food, positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take direction.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* Flexible and adaptable to early starts, varied hours, and working on different sites.
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing the apprenticeship programme.
* No previous experience necessary – full training provided.
