The service you will work in….
Twining-Hestia supports people across London with mental health challenges to gain and sustain work, using the internationally recognized Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach. You will lead a team of IPS Employment Specialists (ES's) – in Haringey to support their caseload of clients. In this role you will support the ES's by providing training, mentoring, supervision, and modelling of the IPS approach to promote the delivery of quality employment services with the aim of meeting targeted client referrals, engagements, and outcomes. This will include field mentoring in employer engagement. You will also communicate with key stakeholders including North London NHS Foundation Trust team leaders, and other Partnership Managers to ensure services are integrated, problems solved, and the service championed.
The role will directly support the Service Lead in maximising service outcomes.
As a Team Leader at Twining-Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Employment Services team. Team Leadership & Supervision : Manage and supervise a team of 7 Employment Specialists, ensuring service delivery meets performance, quality, and compliance targets, while providing mentoring, training, and support to enhance team effectiveness and maintain consistent service standards.
Client & Employment Support : Manage a caseload of up to 10 clients, providing individualized support using the IPS approach, vocational profiling, job preparation, and in-work support to help clients gain and sustain employment, while liaising with employers to ensure job retention.
Collaboration & Networking : Foster collaboration with clinical staff to integrate employment and clinical plans and build strong relationships with external organizations and employers to support clients' employment goals, while identifying training needs and coordinating professional development for staff.
Maintain systems for monitoring team performance, provide regular reports to the Service Lead and relevant stakeholders, and ensure compliance with relevant policies, training, and data protection requirements, while contributing to the development of services that support minority and disadvantaged communities.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Extensive experience in IPS delivery and management, with a proven track record in managing remote and in-person teams, meeting performance targets, and supporting individuals with mental health challenges and disadvantaged groups into employment. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skilled in coaching, guiding individuals to maximize potential, and presenting confidently to stakeholders. Understanding of participant barriers and data protection protocols.
Personal Qualities & Communication : Committed to the value of employment in supporting mental health, with a strong initiative, self-motivation, and resourcefulness in achieving goals.
Awareness and commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals, with an Enhanced DBS check requirement. Knowledgeable in relevant policies such as Health & Safety, Data Protection, Equality & Diversity, and employment law, and flexible to work varying hours as needed.
