In this permanent opportunity, you will join the Commercial Liver Team as a Therapeutic Specialist working within the Liver Franchise in the South West & South Wales territory. You will lead across our Liver Portfolio, drive a new launch in PBC, and support growth in Hepatitis C and Hepatitis D.
Specific Responsibilities
* Excellence: drive company and brand market share to consistently achieve and exceed goals and objectives.
* Customer relationships: build and extend positive business relationships.
* Plan and execute a multi-channel approach aligned to customer needs.
* Demonstrate product and therapeutic disease knowledge to promote and differentiate the appropriate use of Gilead Liver portfolio products to healthcare professionals.
* Strategic analysis: utilize available data sources to monitor sales progress and implement action plans.
* Business planning: prepare and implement a territory business plan, assign targets and communicate actions required to achieve goals.
* Cross-functional collaboration: work with Medical Scientists, Market Access Managers, Marketing, and other internal teams on projects for accounts or physicians to benefit patients with PBC, HCV and HDV.
* Leadership: assist in identifying and resolving issues and opportunities, communicating proactively to marketing and sales management.
* Accountability: demonstrate personal and cross-functional accountability.
* Operational execution: achieve high standards of operational excellence and administration related to the role.
* Represent the company at professional events and promote company products at such events.
* Integrity: comply with all regulatory agencies and the internal code of conduct.
Essentials
* A passion and ambition for commercializing breakthrough medicine in specialty care with a strong commercial mindset, robust scientific acumen, and a tactical approach.
* Must live in the South West / South Wales region.
* High self-motivation with the ability to work with autonomy and independence.
* Adaptability to a changing environment and ability to devise creative solutions to new business challenges.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and build relationships with internal stakeholders and key opinion leaders.
* Proven experience in account planning and cross-functional account management.
* Previous hospital specialist sales experience is essential; knowledge of Liver Disease HCPs is an advantage.
* Typically, a degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent nursing background with relevant selling experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
* ABPI Qualification is essential.
* Must have passed the ABPI Representatives Exam or have the Advanced Professional Programme qualification, or complete it within the timeframe required by the ABPI Code of Practice.
