Art & Design Teacher Position at New Directions
New Directions is seeking a creative and inspiring Art and Design Teacher to join a dynamic and inclusive Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school based in Liverpool, starting immediately until the end of the academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to lead engaging lessons that spark creativity, encourage self-expression, and develop students’ artistic skills across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be passionate about visual arts and committed to delivering a high-quality curriculum that promotes critical thinking, cultural appreciation, and technical skills. Responsibilities of the Art & Design Teacher:
* Hold a PGCE and UK QTS
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons catering to all student ability ranges
* Oversee lesson planning and parent evenings
* Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative, and ambitious
* Possess a strong academic background in Art & Design or a related discipline
Requirements for the Successful Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Art & Design
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Ability to provide references
* Up-to-date DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Passion for teaching Art & Design
