Company Background
Tropical Forest Products and Wainwright's Bee Farm specialises in importing organic honey (Soil Association certified) and beeswax from several African countries, the honey is produced deep in the forests by beekeepers who have perfected the art of bark hive beekeeping. We have also been producing our own honey in Wales and England for over thirty years, our UK commercial bee farm now consists of numerous apiaries containing over 1500 hives. We extract, pack, and sell our honey to wholesalers and retailers such as Fortnum & Mason, Marks and Spencer, Co-op and Waitrose.
Brief Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our factory team. This will involve being part of our honey packing line, assisting within the warehouse, and extracting honey brought back to the factory by our very own beekeepers. You will be joining a dedicated team who are responsible for meeting production targets while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. We are also keen to hear from people that have an interest in identifying and working on special projects that makes working at our site better for everyone and our environment.
Desirable skills and experience
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, food production environment
· Awareness of food hygiene procedures
· Attention to detail to ensure standards of quality are met
· Ability to positively contribute as part of a team and have a desire to bring ideas to life to support continuous positive development for people and planet
· Willingness to follow procedures
· Interest in honey/beekeeping
You will receive appropriate ongoing training relating to your employment which will include training in Food Health and Hygiene as well as Health and Safety.
Job type: Full time, Permanent, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with 3-month probationary period
