£15 - £16 per hour (depending on experience)
Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week
Prince are recruiting for Procurement Administrator to provide support to the Purchasing team within a prestigious, global manufacturing business. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will need to be comfortable working under pressure. This is a long-term client of ours which is genuinely a great place to work and a well-established Telford business, with a really supportive team of staff and some flexi-time options.
You will be required to support the purchasing of engineering and technical parts, therefore the role will be a mix of office based and shop floor-based tasks (including some manual handling) and you will need to be available for an immediate start.
The Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for:
Supporting activities around Purchasing for technical engineering parts
Contacting suppliers to obtain technical quotations
Collating purchasing information and data
Updating spreadsheets and stock systems
Receiving and booking in components and checking against delivery notes
Manual handling (up to 10kg) and products to locations
Ensuring MRP/ERP system is kept up to date with purchasing and supplier data
Skills and Experience
Strong administration and communication skills along with knowledge and experience in the purchase order process
Previous experience in liaising with suppliers
Computer literate previous experience on Excel and/or an ERP or MRP system would be advantageous
Attention to detail and accuracy
Highly numerate with the ability to work with high volumes of numeric data such as quantities and pricing
The ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
Previous roles could include Purchasing Administrator / Supply Chain Administrator / Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Coordinator / Assistant Buyer / Purchasing Administrator / Engineering Stores
