LOCATION: Swansea & surrounding counties
SALARY: £20 - £25 per hour (depending on experience/client)
CONTRACT: Variable hours contract
ANNUAL LEAVE: 20 days + 8 bank holiday days paid holiday (pro-rata)

Rewise Learning is a creative education company, delivering innovative education projects for a wide range of service users. Founded in 2008, we deliver a variety of high-quality skills-related programmes on behalf of clients such as local authorities (Swansea, Carms, NPT), Regional Skills Partnerships, private sector clients including Airbus Defence and Space, CITB, SSE Energy and many others.
A large part of our work involves school delivery across the KS3 and 4 age groups, teaching STEM-related content, green technology and skills, coding and electronics, creative arts and more. We also deliver programmes to tackle serious social issues such as knife crime, county lines and gang violence.
Some of our programmes include support for unemployed individuals to re-enter the job market and secure jobs, adult education and general employability and digital skills.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION
We are looking for an experienced STEM Skills Tutor to deliver primarily on our STEM-based workshops. Our STEM workshops involve the construction of in-house made STEM kits by learners, with support from our skills tutors. Someone with a knowledge of microcontrollers, electronics and basic programming would be ideally suited for the role. Workshops are often accredited and Rewise skills tutors follow pre-designed lesson plan and complementary activities to achieve the required learning outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver classroom-based accredited courses.
* Provide a supportive and well-structured learning environment.
* Classroom Management
* Lesson planning
* Contribute to on-going development of schemes of work and curriculum plans.
* Attend training events / courses as required, maintaining own CPD and contribute to curriculum development.
* At all times ensure that safe working practices are adopted in compliance with relevant health and safety procedures.
* Demonstrate commitment to equality of opportunity and treatment and comply with company policy and procedures and relevant legislation relating to equality and diversity.
* Coach, guide and encourage learners to give them the necessary STEM skills, motivation and knowledge
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
* PGCE or teaching qualification at Level 3 (level 3 education and training).
* English and Mathematics qualification at Level 2.
* STEM-based qualification and/or knowledge(desirable)
Experience
* Previous experience of delivering children and adult learning courses
Aptitudes and abilities
* Excellent inter-personal skills.
* Excellent communication skills (face-to-face, written, telephone).
* Good organisational, administrative and time management skills.
* Highly developed ICT and STEM skills (microprocessors, electronics, coding)
* Ability to manage own workload and to work unsupervised.
* Ability to work to agreed deadlines.
* Car driver essential
Knowledge
* Good subject (STEM) and vocational knowledge and understanding.
* Ability to complete relevant documentation and produce.

* You will require an Enhanced DBS Disclosure for this role, which the Company will pay for.
