Each day in our setting is a fresh adventure; one day you could be exploring the jungle with the Very Hungry Caterpillar, the next building a rocket to visit the Moon with some of our favourite characters or even setting up your own festival
You will also need to master pretending to enjoy sticky, glittery crafts, an amusing skill that develops over time
Enthusiasm for singing and dancing, whether you are in tune or a little off-key, is essential
A passion for creating unique adventures with crazy voices and actions, is a bonus
Your Role Will Include:
* Assisting with the planning of the curriculum for preschool and Holiday Club
* Setting up the play area(s) for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session, ensuring that all toys and equipment are always both clean and safe
* Ensuring all safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements are met, including keeping information confidential regarding the children, their families or other staff members
* Awareness of any special needs a child may have and to familiarise oneself with relevant play and learning plans, like any relevant dietary requirements
* Building a relationship with parents, guardians and outside agencies to further support our children and ensure the correct support is available as necessary
* Being part of a team and attending staff meetings when necessary
* Recording observations and summarising children's achievements and progress, taking them through their next step journey
* Contributing to strategic planning and ongoing improvements
* Advising the pre-school manager or supervisor of any concerns e.g. child protection or the safety of equipment
* Modelling outstanding practice and promoting positive learning outcomes for all children
What We're Looking For:
* A qualified and experienced Early Years professional (Level 3 or above)
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, child development and the new statutory framework
* An enthusiastic and imaginative adult with great communication skills
* Someone who is hands-on, proactive and ready to go the extra mile
* A role model with high expectations and a nurturing approach
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£12.59 per hour
