Job Title: Highways Lighting Electrician
Base Location: Pontypool to cover Blaenau Gwent, Monmouth and Torfaen
Salary: From £29,819 to £32,716 - depending on skills and experience and working hours - plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday – Friday 8am-4pm. Overtime there for those who want it Plus Call out rota
Enerveo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and Ireland and through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all.
Could you be our next Highways Lighting Electrician to join the team and drive this success forwards?
In a typical day, you could expect to be;
* Installing and maintaining street lighting apparatus and furniture, this could be street lights, signposts or signs
* Taking part in diagnosing faults, and fixing faulty equipment if needed
* Changing, maintaining and testing of equipment to prevent any future issues
* Ensuring we deliver outstanding service to our clients and the general public
* Operating a mobile elevated working platform
* Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations
What do I need to be successful in the role?
* You will have an electrical background and will have completed an apprenticeship achieving an NVQ Level 3
* We work in all weathers! So you need to be the type of person who is happy working outdoors all year round.
* A lot of this role will be working at height, so you need to be comfortable with working in a MEWP above the ground.
* We do need you to have a full UK Driving Licence as we cover a wide range of locations
* You need to be able to attend indicdents within 1 hour of Blaenau Gwent, Monmouth and Torfaen
Some of our ‘nice to haves’ are;
* We would look for you to hold IPAF/PASMA working at heights training
* It would be a benefit if you have a good knowledge of the 18th Edition
* If you are qualified to AM2, City and Guilds 2391 qualification this would be a benefit but not essential
* Completion of a G39 Electrical Safety in the planning, installation, commissioning and maintenance of public lighting and other street furniture training Course
* An HGV Class 2 Licence
We can however support the right candidate to achieve any level of industry training/qualifications they may not have in the ‘nice to have’ list
