Supervising Family Law Solicitor (Panel Guardianship)Salary: £90,000 – £100,000 per annum

Role OverviewThis role involves leading on complex family law matters while supervising and mentoring junior team members. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in legal aid and Panel Guardianship work, with the ability to manage sensitive cases and support best outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality client care to vulnerable individuals and families
* Manage a caseload including care proceedings, non-molestation orders, Child Arrangements Orders, divorce, and private children matters
* Represent parents, grandparents, and relatives in care and supervision proceedings
* Prepare legal documents including court applications, witness statements, bundles, and briefs for counsel
* Manage files efficiently using the Leap case management system
* Attend client meetings, conferences, and liaise with counsel
* Advise clients and progress cases with courts and relevant professionals
* Manage Legal Aid applications via CCMS, ensuring compliance
* Meet or exceed billing targets and contribute to financial performance
* Supervise and mentor paralegals and administrative staff
* Advise the court on outcomes for children, including arranging expert assessments where required
* Adapt to additional responsibilities in line with business needs
Essential Skills & Experience
* Qualified Solicitor with appropriate supervisory accreditation
* Panel Guardianship experience
* Strong experience in Legal Aid and CCMS
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
* Ability to manage multiple cases effectively
* Strong team collaboration skills
* Confident using IT systems and legal software
* Excellent drafting, communication, and client care skills
* Strong judgement in advising on child welfare matters
