As New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, leading and driving new business growth opportunities across our portfolio. You will play a key role in expanding our customer base by generating high-quality leads and converting them into long-term, profitable business revenue. You will excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possess a strong "hunter" mentality, thriving in a target-driven atmosphere. With a passion for finding and driving new business development and a proven track record of closing deals, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Driving the expansion of our product portfolio in the commodity lines sector
* Identifying, generating and qualifying leads through targeted outreach and market research - cold calling capability and confidence is critical to this role
* Converting leads into long-term, profitable client relationships, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions
* Leading all aspects of the sales cycle - initial contact to deal closure, with appropriate account management administration tasks
* Developing and maintaining robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring continuous flow of business opportunities
* C ollaborating with marketing and design department, ensuring literature is up to date and relevant to target market
* Developing and implementing strategies to increase market share and business revenue
* Collaborating with internal teams, aligning product offerings with client needs and market trends
* Collaborating with Operations, Logistics and Procurement teams, ensuring product availability, timely delivery and quality assurance
* Reporting and forecasting
* Tracking and reporting on business development activities - lead generations, sales performance and market insights via CRM platform
* Creating forecasts and sales reports for management to assess business growth and trends
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
· Packaging industry knowledge
· Knowledge of distributor model within industry
· Demonstrable success at lead generation and conversion into new business
· Hunger to grow revenue and unlock new opportunities
· Entrepreneurial, "Can Do" / "Hunter" mindset
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a similar relevant field is desirable
Ideally based within a commutable distance to site in the first instance - You must be prepared for regular travel, including overnight stays, to attend customer meetings
