Choosing Keeping is an independent stationery shop in Covent Garden. Since 2012, we've been gathering pens, papers, and art materials from small makers around the world, chosen for their quality and story.

Job Title:
E-Commerce & Inventory Assistant (Casual Contract, Part-Time or Full-Time)
Reports to:
Logistics Manager & E-Commerce Manager
Location:
Battersea Power Station Area (tube station)
Pay Rate:
£15.50 per hour (
≈ £33,248 annual equivalent
on a 41.25 hr week)
Availability:
Usually Monday – Friday, 8am -5pm, except in peak season when shifts may span across weekends and include late shifts. Shifts include a
45-minute unpaid lunch break
and a
10-minute paid afternoon tea break
.
Key Responsibilities
1. E-Commerce
* Pick orders carefully, checking accuracy against online descriptions.
* Report and document any discrepancies promptly.
* Pack orders securely, following Choosing Keeping's presentation standards and best practice guidelines.
* Process DHL shipping labels and maintain proper controls throughout the process.
* Monitor the e-commerce inbox, answering customer enquiries and order-related communications.
* Spot opportunities for upselling within the e-commerce framework.
2. Inventory & Stockroom Management
* Unpack, count, and control incoming deliveries.
* Document and record any irregularities.
* Carry out routine stock counts to ensure accuracy.
* Maintain cleanliness and order in the stockroom, including regular dusting and tidying.
* Assist with preparing stock transfers between shop locations and the stockroom.
* Support stock movement and organisation for both the shop and e-commerce operations.
3. Teamwork & Support
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across e-commerce and logistics.
* Contribute flexibly during peak trading periods (e.g. Christmas) to ensure smooth operations.
