Role Overview
We are looking for a nurse to cover a caseload in a wide geographical area across urban and rural communities, and to work across other community nursing teams in Lochaber.
Responsibilities
* Cover patient caseload and provide community nursing care across a wide geographic area.
* Collaborate with other community nursing teams and provide palliative care support.
* Work independently and as part of a team, ensuring high quality communication with patients and colleagues.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Either a newly qualified nurse or an individual with previous community nursing experience.
* Post registration experience desirable; sound knowledge of clinical skills relevant to community nursing.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as initiative.
* 36 hours per week, including weekends, with on‑call commitment for palliative care.
* Valid driving licence and own car available for official use.
* Familiar with Agenda for Change details: effective from 1 April 2026 the full‑time week will be 36 hours with a pro‑rated adjustment for part‑time hours and an hourly rate increase to ensure pay remains unaffected.
* Gaelic speaker advantage (Fluent Gaelic language skills welcomed).
