Role: MEP Project Manager (Mission Critical)

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + car allowance
We’re working with a leading M&E contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across the mission-critical space, including data centres and other technically demanding environments.
They’re looking for an MEP Project Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of large-scale projects, managing both mechanical and electrical packages, and driving delivery from pre-construction through to handover.
This is a proper delivery role, suited to someone who understands the pace, pressure, and technical detail that comes with mission-critical builds.
What you’ll be doing
* Taking full ownership of MEP project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget
* Managing both mechanical and electrical packages, coordinating teams across site
* Leading site teams including Site Managers, Supervisors, and subcontractors
* Driving programme, sequencing, and coordination across all trades
* Managing technical submittals, RFIs, and design coordination through to approval
* Overseeing procurement and ensuring plant, materials, and labour are aligned with programme
* Tracking progress, managing variations, and reporting commercially on project performance
* Working closely with the client, main contractor, and internal stakeholders
* Ensuring commissioning plans are in place and supporting delivery through to IST / handover
* Maintaining high standards of QA/QC, HSE, and documentation throughout
* Managing project reporting, including weekly progress updates and risk tracking
* Leading project close-out, handover, and final documentation
What you’ll need
* Strong background in MEP project management within construction
* Proven experience delivering mission-critical or large-scale projects (data centres highly desirable)
* Ability to manage both mechanical and electrical scopes with confidence
* Experience leading multi-disciplinary site teams on complex builds
Strong understanding of:
* Programme management and sequencing
* Technical submittals and design coordination
* Commercial awareness including variations and cost control
* Commissioning and handover processes
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
* Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
* Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or project management (preferred)
