The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our team and support the Registered Manager in the daily operation of the home. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. As the Deputy Manager, You will be an inspiring leader who can motivate a team and provide high-quality care for the children in our home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Registered Manager in the overall management of the home.
* Support, mentor, and develop staff, ensuring a high level of professional practice.
* The Deputy Manager will ensure the home meets Ofsted and safeguarding standards, promoting a child-centred approach.
* The Deputy Manager will contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
* Maintain and monitor records, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
* Build positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies.
* Participate in on-call duties as required.
Requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting.
* At least 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience in a similar Deputy Manager role.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection policies.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
