Job Description
What you’ll do
This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a care assistant. You will support a client who seeks companionship and outings into the community for socialising. No clinical support is required.
At Advantage Healthcare, we care for and support people of all ages, in the community and in their homes, with conditions such as Spinal Cord injury, Muscular Dystrophy, acquired brain injuries, and other complex needs. Every day will be different, presenting new challenges. You will be making your clients’ days brighter while developing your skills and knowledge.
The client is a young boy with cerebral palsy and an acquired brain injury. He requires medication via PEG feed, seizure monitoring, and pain management.
He also needs support with medical appointments and mobility, as he uses a wheelchair in the community.
He has a supportive family who have transformed their home to include an amazing sensory room!
He enjoys engaging with his team and family, with activities like trips to the park for riding his trike, listening to music, or going to the cinema.
