We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a provider of Logistics, Warehouse, and Storage solutions. With a turnover in excess of £15 million, our client has been at the forefront of the industry since the 70's. This is a permanent position based in Pershore, Worcester.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Accurate inputting of purchase ledgers into accounting systems, such as Job Costing and SAGE.
2. Identifying and resolving any anomalies by cross-checking invoices with SAGE.
3. Ensuring invoices are matched to statements and purchase orders are matched to invoices.
4. Managing transport and fleet payments by verifying approvals and accuracy, in collaboration with operational managers.
5. Dealing with invoice queries and liaising with vendors to resolve disputes.
6. Importing sales invoices and maintaining the sales ledger.
7. Performing reconciliations.
8. Posting receipts and payments.
9. Assisting in the production of financial statements, applications, spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence.
10. Resolving finance-related queries.
11. Assisting with end-of-year procedures.
12. Planning, organising, and managing your workload to contribute to the company's monthly financial reporting process.
