We are looking for enthusiastic person to join our very busy medical ward here at Whipps Cross Hospital.
The post holder will need to have excellent communication and customer care skills, as they often are the first person to greet patients, relative and visitors to the ward. The post holder needs to be dedicated to ensuring accurate details are maintained that will enable the smooth running of the ward and contribute to improving the patient’s experience.
The successful candidate will need to be able to think on their feet, be flexible, and possess organisational skills, as well as being computer literate. We can offer development opportunities and a supportive friendly environment for you to further learning opportunities
The successful candidate will support the ward manager and the team in ensuring quality of care is constantly improving and the service is developing and supporting Trust objectives and values
Main duties of the job
• To provide comprehensive, high quality, efficient and effective clerical support to nursing and medical staff at ward level.
• The post holder will promote and encourage a caring and sympathetic environment for patients, relatives and staff, ensuring high standards of service is continually maintained on the ward.
• To cover other wards within the directorate due to annual leave or sickness as directed by the senior ward clerk.
• To provide ad-hoc Administration support, to support the ward and Service.
