Overview
Are you a highly motivated occupational therapist with experience working in mental health, ready for your next challenge and keen to work and live in the beautiful region of Dumfries and Galloway? This role forms part of a wider Mental Health AHP team that provides specialist occupational therapy input to our community and inpatient mental health services across the region. Based with the Annan Community Mental Health Team, you will also cover the wider east of the region and occasionally provide region‑wide cover. Independent travel between sites and within the community is essential; pool cars are available.
We deliver a range of evidence‑based assessments and interventions to adults as key members of the multidisciplinary community mental health team. Our small, supportive, innovative Allied Health Professions Team collaborates to provide group work both virtually and in person. Supervision is regular, and there are opportunities for learning, development and projects to improve services.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention to adults in community and inpatient settings.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
* Deliver group work programmes virtually and in person.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in regular supervision.
* Travel independently between sites as required.
Qualifications
* Registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC.
* Degree level qualification in occupational therapy.
* Current driving licence.
* Experience working in mental health settings.
