Role:TECHNICAL LEAD - FOOTWEAR
Location:Kettering, UK
Salary: Up to £42,000.00 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

We are seeking a Technical Lead to lead and supervise a team of technologists and technicians in the Footwear Testing team ensuring compliance with quality standards, enhancing the SATRA brand and reputation.
About The Role
As a Technical Lead your key responsibilities will include:
Daily supervision of Technicians and Technologist
Team performance management (appraisals, disciplinary and grievance matters)
Managing workflow through department with emphasis on customer focus and customer awareness
Working with Technicians & Technologist to establish deadlines and allocate jobs fairly
Ensure effective implementation of quality systems (working with Quality Manager and Health and Safety Advisor)
Create and implement staff training plans
Development of continuous improvement initiatives with both systems of work and individuals
Establish and monitor departments KPIs
Discussing results and new work with customers
Routine drafting/sending reports and responding to customer emails
Meeting customers and presenting seminars
Writing of technical articles for internal and external publication
Overseas travel when required
About You
Essential
Educated to A Level in Maths or Science
Familiar with physical testing techniques
Demonstrated organisation and planning skills
Supervisory experience
Customer facing experience
Confident presenter
Excellent time management and scheduling skills
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Ability to work on own and as part of a team
Highly motivated
Problem solving and logical thinking
Willingness to travel
Desirable
Completion of SAFT course or working towards completion
Degree in Maths or Science
Experience within a commercial environment
Full, clean driving licence
Experience of direct Sales and Marketing with exposure to business development tools and techniques
Footwear industry experience
