My client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with knowledge of Planning Act 2008 procedures to join a leading Infrastructure Consents team.
The team delivers Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) across sectors such as rail, road, energy, and commercial development. They have a strong pipeline of green energy projects, placing us at the forefront of renewable energy initiatives in the UK.
What you’ll do:
* Provide professional planning advice on major projects across the UK.
* Prepare and submit planning applications, negotiate with authorities and stakeholders.
* Support DCO leads and collaborate with technical teams.
* Draft written representations, assist with hearings and inquiries, and promote sites through Local Plans.
* Represent the business at networking events and seminars.
* Manage projects with autonomy over budgets and timelines.
What we’re looking for:
* A qualified planner (or equivalent) with experience in NSIP or similar regimes.
* Strong knowledge of planning law and practice; excellent report writing skills.
* Experience managing complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
* Background in consultancy or local authority is beneficial; rail, transport, or utilities experience is a plus.
* Willingness to travel within the UK.
