We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Counselling Psychologist with a range of specialist skills to help facilitate therapy groups and one to one therapy for inpatients, day care patients, and outpatients presenting with complex mental health issues.
This is a permanent full time position for which the successful candidate will have at least three years post qualification experience of working with a range of adult mental health issues.
The role will involve the facilitation of psychological, psycho-educational, and relapse prevention therapy groups, individual sessions, and the completion of assessments and formulation of treatment plans for a wide range of patients.
The successful candidate will be available for case formulations within inpatient settings and will work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with a range of adult mental health issues, ideally with CBT, CBT-e, DBT, Schema therapy or EMDR. Candidates who are accredited in EMDR or Schema therapy are desirable.
The role holder will be required to complete 53% of their contracted hours as clinical hours. This role is hospital based.
In addition to their clinical responsibilities, the successful candidate may also be available to supervise a Trainee Psychologist and will be able to offer clinical supervision to two Psychologists at a similar or lower level within Priory.
The successful candidate will also be required to support the hospital with psychological debriefs after incidents, as required.
Full HCPC accreditation is required for this role.
