Summary of Role:
Capula manages a portfolio of systems contracts for major clients in the Nuclear Industry. These include integrating with existing C&I systems, standalone projects, and greenfield developments. Valued at several million pounds, these contracts involve full turnkey solutions based on PLC/SCADA technology, including hardwired/logic-based safety systems, site installation, and cabling. The contracts encompass Requirements Definition, Design, Substantiation, Implementation, Testing, Installation, Commissioning, and ongoing support.
Role Description:
1. Support the Operations Manager in developing project controls, tools, and reports.
2. Lead the planning team to work with Project Managers to produce and maintain detailed project plans and resource allocation plans using Primavera P6.
3. Maintain and develop project implementation databases (using MS Access), along with relevant paper records, H&S information, and compliance documentation.
4. Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, to ensure provision of services according to the plan and work schedule.
5. Report on progress, performance, resource utilization, and commercial information to the Project Management team and consolidate sector performance reports for the Operations Manager.
6. Provide coaching and support to develop team members in planning and the use of Primavera P6.
7. Demonstrate good skills and experience with project planning tools, especially Primavera P6.
8. Have NEC3/4 experience, working for main contractors, and familiarity with CEMAR.
9. Support delay claims and forensic planning, producing impact programmes and narrative reports.
10. Apply excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
11. Experience with compensation events, delay analysis, and implementing project controls to improve business performance.
12. Be comfortable working within an IT or control system environment.
13. Possess good skills in risk management, financial, and commercial acumen.
14. Have the ability to gain SC clearance.
15. Experience in work planning, work allocation, generating S curves, and cost reporting.
16. Experience with material procurement, supply chain, and logistics.
17. Proficiency in consolidated project reporting and resource management using MS Project and Primavera P6.
