40 Hours per Week ICP Connections | DNO | 11kV 132kV | Solar & BESS Projects Powering the UKs Energy Future Were recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure client for an experienced Power Estimator to join their growing energy and utilities division. This is a key role within the business, responsible for producing accurate, commercially sound estimates for high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects across 11kV to 132kV networks, including renewable energy and battery storage schemes. The Role As Power Estimator, you will play a critical part in the pre-construction and tendering process, producing detailed cost estimates and supporting the successful bidding of complex electrical infrastructure projects. You will be working across a variety of schemes including: Solar PV connections Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) High Voltage (HV) & Extra High Voltage (EHV) network works ICP contestable works and DNO interface projects Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates for 11kV132kV electrical infrastructure projects Interpret technical drawings, single line diagrams, and grid connection designs Produce pricing for ICP contestable works and DNO non-contestable elements Assess labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor costs Liaise with engineers, project managers, and commercial teams to develop tender submissions Review and assess grid connection requirements and technical specifications Work with supply chain partners to obtain accurate and competitive pricing Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities within tender documentation Support bid strategy and commercial decision-making About You We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of power distribution and estimating within the utilities sector.
