This field‑based, consultative sales role involves booking meetings throughout the wider Fermanagh and South Tyrone region, working directly with business owners and decision‑makers.
We are looking for someone digitally focused who understands the benefits of social media and display advertising. Represent some of the region’s most trusted local news brands such as the Impartial Reporter, offering a cutting‑edge mix of digital display and print products tailored to each client’s goals. From first contact to closing the deals, you’ll build strong relationships and deliver solutions that make a real impact.
This is not a desk job. You’ll be on the move, visiting clients in their working environments, gaining real insight into their businesses and showing how LOCALiQ can help them thrive. To succeed, you must be based within or near the territory, hold a full UK driving licence, and have access to your own vehicle for work‑related travel. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday during office hours.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and win new business by proactively reaching out to potential clients across your region using cold calling and outbound sales techniques.
* Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently striving to exceed monthly revenue goals and performance benchmarks.
* Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support, identifying upsell opportunities, and increasing client spend through strategic recommendations.
* Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, using a consultative approach to move prospects through the sales cycle.
* Build long‑term relationships with clients by providing expert advice, excellent service, and ongoing support.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery for new clients.
* Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ's evolving product suite to maintain a competitive edge.
* Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility, acting as a trusted ambassador for our regional news brands.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven track record in B2B sales – Successfully sold to businesses and navigated commercial conversations with confidence.
* Experienced in outbound cold calling – Comfortable picking up the phone and generating new opportunities.
* Confident in securing new business over the phone – Builds rapport quickly, handles objections, and closes deals remotely.
* Skilled at growing existing client accounts – Deepens relationships and spot opportunities to add value and increase spend.
* Delivers exceptional customer service – Ensures clients feel supported, understood, and valued at every stage.
* Understanding of multimedia advertising (advantageous) – Familiar with digital and print advertising formats and how they drive results.
* Consultative, client‑focused selling approach – Listens first, asks the right questions, and tailors recommendations to meet unique needs.
* Able to commute to the office – Within reach of the office and happy to be part of a collaborative, hybrid team environment.
* Owns a vehicle suitable for business use – Equipped to travel across the territory and meet clients wherever they are.
* Holds a full UK driving licence – Essential for the field‑based nature of the role.
