Therefore we are seeking a Maths Teacher with previous experience of working with individuals with these needs, and is aware of the challenges and rewards of working in this kind of specialist environment.

About the role - Maths Teacher
As an exceptional Maths Teacher, you'll work within a small specialist team qualified to work in therapeutic settings. Classes are tailored to the needs and abilities of students across different year groups within Key Stages. You'll collaborate effectively with teaching and support staff at all levels, as well as parents/carers, students, and external agencies. Training in school systems and practices will be provided.
The successful candidate will have the excellent opportunity to work closely with students in a small classroom setting, with approximately 10 students per class within Key Stages 3 and 4.
Requirements - Maths Teacher
• Educated to degree level.
• Qualified Teacher status, either in the UK or equivalent, with a desire to achieve Maths QTS or QTLS.
• MUST have experience in teaching pupils with additional needs or SEND.
• Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum for Maths across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Familiarity with relevant school policies and strategies, including safeguarding, behaviour, teaching, learning, assessment, and equal opportunities.
• Proficiency in ICT to enhance learning and teaching.
• Ability to plan collaboratively with colleagues and use assessments to inform future planning and interventions.

The successful Maths Teacher will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references.
