Description
We are seeking a Construction Manager to be based at our Client’s facility in County Durham NE UK to be responsible for overseeing and managing construction activities related to delivery of EPCM projects.
Working closely with the construction supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, the Construction Manager will ensure that construction projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
The role will involve managing on-site construction teams, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and ensuring timely project delivery within budget.
Responsibilities
* Construction Planning and Coordination - Collaborate with project managers to develop construction plans, schedules, and budgets for EPCM projects in the pharmaceutical sector.
* On-Site Construction Management - Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, including site preparation, equipment installation, structural work, and finishing.
* Quality Control and Assurance - Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and client requirements.
* Safety Management - Help to enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations on construction sites to minimise the risk of accidents and injuries.
* Communication and Reporting - Maintain regular communication with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
Requirements
* Degree, HND, HNC or similar in related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of qualification
* Extensive experience in construction management, with a focus on EPCM projects in the pharmaceutical industry or similar regulated environments.
* Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to construction projects in the pharmaceutical sector.
