As part of the technology team, this role will contribute as a Technology Development Engineer to provide designs and technical solutions to new technology innovations. You’ll interpret marketing specifications and provide technically validated solutions to engineering problems within the development of industrial inkjet printers.
This exciting work includes developing 3D models, designing prototypes, assessing performance, and improving designs to meet current and future customer requirements. The role also requires documentation skills to transfer the completed technology to the New Product Development Teams.

In this role, a typical day will look like:
* Involved in brainstorming, initial concept generation, rapid prototyping, and testing to identify issues, solve problems, and improve designs.
* System-level design of complex mechanical/electromechanical inkjet components such as print heads and ink systems.
* Participate in design reviews and DFMEA analysis to identify potential failure modes and improve designs.
* Work on new technology prototype printers to diagnose and solve complex issues.
* Participate in technical reviews, feasibility studies, project reviews, and support other departments as needed.
The essential requirements of the job include:
* Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering degree or HNC level, or equivalent experience.
* Strong problem-solving engineering skills.
* Proven teamwork within multi-functional project teams.
* Ability to perform hands-on assembly and testing related to design verification.
* Ability to communicate technical matters effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
* A self-starter eager for professional development with guidance from senior engineers and leaders.
