Conflicts Lawyer | 6-Month FTC | London (Hybrid)
A leading international law firm is looking for an experienced Conflicts Lawyer to join its Risk & Compliance function on a 6-month fixed-term contract .
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely understands conflicts, not just how to run a check and forward it to a partner with crossed fingers.
The role
You’ll work closely with the conflicts and NBI teams, reviewing and resolving complex conflicts, advising fee-earners, and helping the firm move towards a more centralised conflicts clearance model as a new system is implemented.
Key elements include:
* Reviewing and resolving complex conflicts issues
* Advising fee-earners on conflicts strategy and risk
* Supporting lateral hire conflict assessments
* Helping develop and embed conflicts policies and procedures
* Training fee-earners and junior staff on conflicts processes
* Contributing to process improvement during system implementation
About you
* Qualified lawyer with around 2–4 years’ PQE focused on conflicts
* Strong working knowledge of SRA conflicts rules
* Experience in a City or international law firm
* Comfortable advising senior stakeholders and pushing back where needed
* Exposure to US conflicts rules or Intapp is helpful, but not essential
