Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Behaviour Change-Exercise & Sport Psychology

Remuneration: $127k - $178k base (+17% super and leave loading)

This position is based in the School of Health Sciences at UNSW, which is expanding its health professional education programs and curricula in Behaviour Change, Mental Health and Sports Psychology across related discipline areas.
Overview
The role is to contribute to the content development and delivery of Behaviour Change/Mental Health content and Sports Psychology curricula within the Health Professional Programs. The role may be appointed as either a Education Focused position or a Teaching & Research position, with the latter including high-quality research expectations. Applicants may be considered for either pathway, with full details in the position descriptions.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver content for Behaviour Change and Mental Health across programs (disciplines of exercise, physiotherapy, dietetics and pharmacy) and Sports Psychology in the Exercise Physiology program.
* Contribute to teaching and learning design, development and delivery of courses and programs at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
* Engage with educational technologies and online delivery methods to enhance learning experiences.
* For the Teaching & Research pathway: conduct high-quality research and supervise research students as appropriate.
Note: We are open to appointing someone with either a combined teaching and research focus or an education focus. Please refer to the position descriptions for full details on both roles.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level B – Education Focused Role: A completed PhD in a related discipline (Exercise or Psychology/Behaviour Change) or equivalent combination of extensive clinical experience and teaching
* Demonstrated experience in sub-disciplinary areas of exercise behaviour change, mental health and health/sport psychology
* Proven commitment to ongoing disciplinary knowledge development and teaching excellence
* Experience in teaching and learning design and delivery of courses and programs at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels
* Experience with educational technologies and online delivery
* Level C – Education Focused Role (in addition to Level B): Significant experience in teaching and learning design, curriculum development and leadership in learning and teaching; ability to foster inclusive learning cultures
* Evidence of professional development in teaching and a track record of teaching excellence
* Demonstrated success in curriculum development and improvement
* Level B – Teaching & Research Role: A completed PhD in a related discipline (Exercise or Psychology/Behaviour Change)
* Experience in sub-disciplinary areas of exercise behaviour change, mental health and health/sport psychology
* Significant experience in teaching design and delivery across undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels
* Experience with educational technologies and online delivery
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to educational excellence and leadership
* Experience in developing teaching practice and leading inclusive learning environments
* Track record in curriculum development and research with high quality outputs and potential for leadership
* Experience supervising research students (Honours and higher degrees)
* Ability to engage with profession and industry and attract funding for initiatives
* Level C – Teaching & Research Role (in addition to Level B): Significant experience in teaching design and delivery at multiple levels, strong track record of teaching excellence and leadership; evidence of ongoing research impact and leadership
