Overview
We are working exclusively with a well-established and reputable regional main contractor who are seeking a Business Development Manager to support their growth across the corridor between Reading, Oxford and Hertford. With a strong track record in delivering high-quality commercial, education, healthcare and residential schemes, they are now looking to strategically expand their pipeline across this key region.
Responsibilities
* Identify and nurture new opportunities, build relationships with key decision makers, and work closely with internal teams to position the business as a partner of choice.
* Develop frameworks, pre-construction opportunities, and negotiated projects with both public and private sector clients.
* Drive business growth in targeted regions: Reading, Oxford, Hertford and surrounding areas.
* Build and maintain relationships with consultants, developers, local authorities, and key clients.
* Monitor market trends, tender opportunities, and regional pipelines.
* Collaborate with estimating, commercial and pre-construction teams on bids and proposals.
* Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions and strategic meetings.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven track record in business development or pre-construction roles within a main contractor.
* Strong local knowledge and networks across Thames Valley, Oxfordshire, and/or Hertfordshire.
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
* Ambitious, self-motivated and commercially astute.
