Prospero Teaching is recruiting Pastoral Support Workers to join Primary, Secondary and SEN schools across Dorset.
These roles are ideal for individuals with experience in youth work, mentoring, safeguarding, behaviour support or those looking to move into pastoral or wellbeing roles within education.
The Role
1. Providing emotional, social and behavioural support to pupils
2. Working 1:1 and with small groups to build confidence and resilience
3. Supporting attendance, wellbeing and engagement in learning
4. De-escalating challenging situations and promoting positive behaviour
5. Working closely with teaching staff, SEN teams and parents
6. Helping create a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment
Who We’re Looking For
7. Experience in pastoral care, mentoring, youth work or similar roles
8. Calm, empathetic and able to build strong relationships
9. Confident supporting pupils with varied needs
10. Good communication and problem‑solving skills
11. DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
