Our Electronic Warfare Operations Support (EWOS) Group is made up of 60+ electronic warfare specialists. From all manner of backgrounds, our engineers, scientists and ex-military personnel combine their experience to help our customers achieve their true operational potential and ultimately help keep their people and platforms safe.
You'll have the flexibility, once fully embedded (and with DV) to figure out your own schedule, making sure core hours are covered by you and your team. This is however a full time 5 days per week on site-based role.
How youll support us
Working primarily on-site with the wider project team, you will be creating leading edge solutions to problems never worked on before, applying your data analysis and technical skills to the development of solutions to protect aircraft from guided weapons. The project is using ground-breaking science to support the UK's front-line defence.
The role will have access to state-of-the-art software models and involve the planning, execution and reporting of studies using these models to generate high impact advice.
Your ability to draw-out meaningful conclusions from large sets of data and understand complex weapon systems and high-fidelity modelling tools will be key.You may also be required to develop bespoke analysis tools and support the verification and validation of your advice with wider stakeholders.

Essential:
Degree level or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Physics or Software Engineering).
Hands-on experience, either through an advanced degree or working in industry, of any of the following:
Using modelling tools to develop solutions to real-world problems.
Electro-Optic sensor systems, image processing or missile systems.
Developing or using synthetic models of sensors, image processing techniques or air vehicle dynamics.
Verification, validation and test of systems or synthetic environments.
Experience using Simulink.
Experience of using MATLAB or similar tools to clean, process and analyse simulation output data.
Track record of independently generating technical plans and effectively communicating your work via reports/presentations.
Desirable:
EO domain knowledge and/or EO modelling experience (e.g. EO environments, EO Threat system understanding, EO countermeasure development).
Good understanding of the physics behind sensors, dynamics, optics and lasers.
Experience using C++.
Ability to learn quickly extant programming languages.
