Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire (On-site)

Are you a quality-focused engineer with a passion for continuous improvement and precision manufacturing?
Bolt Technical are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Quality Engineer to join a leading UK manufacturer supplying high-performance components to the global automotive sector, with plans to expand into new and emerging markets.
Working as part of a close-knit Quality and Engineering team of 3, youll play a key role in ensuring product integrity from raw material through to finished part, helping to drive quality standards and process improvements across the production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections using a range of precision measuring equipment
Maintain quality and inspection records in line with ISO9001 standards
Support internal and external audits, customer visits, and supplier inspections
Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve non-conformances
Manage calibration and upkeep of gauges and measurement equipment
Contribute to continuous improvement and 5S initiatives across the manufacturing site
Collaborate with production teams to uphold best practice and drive efficiency
What Were Looking For:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
Strong knowledge of ISO9001 quality systems and auditing processes
Proven experience in root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
Familiarity with FAIR / PPAP documentation and inspection techniques
Confident using hand tools such as micrometres, verniers, and shadowgraphs
A proactive, hands-on engineer with excellent attention to detail and communication skills
