About the Role
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Digital Services Technician to join our Learning Resource Service (LRS) team. Reporting to the Digital and Technical Services Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality in-house print services, maintaining managed print devices, and supporting the IT helpdesk facility.
If you have a passion for customer service, technical know-how, and a flair for producing high-quality printed materials, this role could be perfect for you.
What You'll Do
Print, finish, and produce in-house materials, advising users on the best options to meet their needs
Create documents and graphics using software such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher
Maintain and stock multi-functional devices (printers/photocopiers) with ink, paper, and toner
Manage LRS supplies and replenish them as needed
Extract and prepare copying figures for internal billing and finance reporting
Support day-to-day LRS operations, including point-of-sale transactions, equipment lending, laminating, and binding
Process orders for College publications, including packaging, dispatch, and invoicing
Provide demonstrations and training for staff and students on digital equipment (e.g., cameras, laptops, audio devices)
Log and escalate IT service requests via the helpdesk
About You
Experience in print production and finishing techniques
Good working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe applications
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain print equipment
Organised, with strong attention to detail
Comfortable delivering demonstrations and training sessions
