Note: This role is term-time only with no weekends.
Job Details
* Role: Cook Manager
* Location: Bushey (Ashfield Junior School)
* Salary: £14.00 per hour
* Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday
* Term-time only – 38 weeks per year
Your Responsibilities
* To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
* To ensure the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures.
* To maintain Caterlink’s reputation for excellent food and service with the client and customers, ensuring expectations are consistently exceeded.
* To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the location and supervising teams, including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.
* To be the main point of contact for the client in your school, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are recommended and implemented.
* Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets to ensure these are achieved.
* Supporting and training team members, leading from the front to ensure everyone can excel in their role; ensuring all training is completed and performance is managed.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in catering management or lead chef/manager roles (preferred).
* Ability to prepare and present nutritionally balanced meals.
* Understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* DBS disclosure will be obtained (safeguarding commitment).
* Term-time only role; flexibility for school schedule.
