Overview
As a certified nurse or paramedic, you will provide exceptional care to detainees in custody suites. This role requires floating across regions and the flexibility to work not only in your base custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.
Responsibilities
* Deliver healthcare to detainees within custody suites, ensuring safety and compliance with custodial protocols.
* Work across multiple custody region suites as required, providing continuity of care.
* Collaborate with the police and healthcare teams to deliver round‑the‑clock coverage as per the schedule agreed with the client.
* Adhere to medical protocols and maintain accurate patient records in custodial setting.
Qualifications
* RN, RGN, RMN with dual registration or Paramedic – minimum 2 years post qualification.
* Experience in a patient‑facing role within a relevant field (General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk‑in centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service).
* Valid driving licence (required).
* Must be RTW in UK, reside in UK with British Passport or ILR for 3 years + no gaps out of country more than 3 months.
* All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting.
