Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant.
This is an ideal role for someone looking to progress from AAT to the next level. It is essential the candidate has AAT or accounting experience. Sage experience is preferred but not essential if you have strong Excel skills.
The Accounts Assistant will report directly to the Accounts & Finance Manager with maintaining the financial records and ledgers on Sage on a day-to-day basis including:
· Performing daily bank reconciliations
· Supplier statement reconciliations
· Chase outstanding invoices
· Process and send all orders to suppliers for all five of our stores
· Prepare and submit quarterly VAT Returns
· Assist with processing payroll
· Process accounts payable and receivable
· Prepare debtors summaries
· Undertake BACS payment runs
· Oversee credit card procedure and reconciliation
· Liaise with stakeholders to answer financial queries
Requirements:
· Experience in Accounts or AAT qualification essential
· Excel skills
· Ability to commute to the office
· Capable of working solely with minimal supervision
