An excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a friendly and professional finance team, supporting a range of accounting functions including reconciliations, month-end processes and reporting.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Finance Assistant who enjoys working with numbers and has strong attention to detail.
As a Finance Assistant you will support a busy finance department with accounting processes such as reconciliations, journals and reporting.
The Finance Assistant will work closely with the Financial Controller, assisting with monthly accounts, budgets, audits and financial projects within the organisation.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Finance Assistant include:
Assist with Monthly Accounts: Support journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
Manage Subsidiary Accounting: Handle tasks relating to salaries, pensions, fixed assets and trial balances
Support Budgeting Processes: Assist with financial planning and variance reporting
Perform Reconciliations: Maintain accuracy across ledgers and subsidiary accounts
Assist Audits: Provide data and documentation for internal, statutory and HMRC audits
Handle Financial Enquiries: Respond to internal and external financial queries professionally
Contribute to Year-End Processes: Prepare schedules and assist in year-end reporting
Participate in Stock Checks: Support the annual stock review and related reconciliations
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Previous accounting experience or AAT/CIMA/ACCA studier (part-qualified or equivalent)
Experience using financial software such as SAP or SAGE
Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
Self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude
