This role is ideal for a chef who takes pride in consistency, quality, and delivering comforting food within a caring, purpose‑led environment.
This is a full‑time, permanent position offering 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, with structured shifts and a strong focus on work‑life balance.
The roleAs Chef, you’ll be responsible for preparing high‑quality meals in line with set menus and approved recipes, ensuring every dish is delivered to a consistent standard and with care. You’ll work as part of a supportive team where processes are clear and expectations are well defined.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and serving high‑quality food in line with agreed menus and recipes
Delivering consistent standards across all meals and services
Supporting smooth day‑to‑day kitchen operations
Monitoring stock levels and maintaining good kitchen organisation
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
Ensuring full compliance with Food Handling, Hygiene, Health & Safety regulations
Working collaboratively with the wider team in a calm and respectful environment
What we’re looking forA passion for good food, consistency, and customer care
Experience in a similar Sous Chef role
Experience supporting or supervising a kitchen team
City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ equivalent, or relevant qualifications
Food Hygiene Certificate
A flexible, dependable, and team‑focused approach
