Job Title: Specialist Capability Advisor - Police Staff - Ops Support FMT - CTP London

Salary: The starting salary is £40,519, which includes allowances totalling £3,009 allowance.

The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Contract: 2 year fixed term

Job Summary:

The Specialist Capability Advisor (SCA) sits within SO15’s Forensic Management Team who manage all forensic submissions and strategies for CT investigations. The SCA provides specialist support to the team as well as across the National CTP network of FMTs.

This involves the planning and organising of exercises with a wide range of partners / stakeholders. A significant emphasis is placed upon CBRNe SOR and associated activities.

The role is also responsible for ensuring operational compliance with the Forensic Service Regulator (FSR) codes of practice.

Key Tasks:

The post holder will be required to assist the Specialist Capability Manager with the following:

* Prepare & deliver the National CBRN courses.
* Plan, organise & deliver CTP London, National & International exercises.
* Liaison with external partners / stakeholders including HMG, military and science.
* Represent SO15 / UK Policing at meetings & working groups including those managed by partners and other agencies.
* Develop & maintain service and training programmes for specialist equipment and processes.
* Conduct CPD and audits for ISO Quality Management Team.

Vetting

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV).

This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC)/Developed Vetting (DV)] clearance.

As the post holder will have access to very sensitive information, there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries and we will undertake additional security checks as part of the recruitment process. Applications from candidates with close connections to certain countries may take considerably longer to process, or in some cases result in a withdrawal of an offer of employment. * Experience of dealing with and handling highly sensitive intelligence.
