HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: At least two days per week (or 40% of your time) at one of our offices listed above.

We're looking for a Senior Security Risk Specialist to support the development of our risk specialist centre of excellence, ensuring robust risk management aligned with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF). This includes advising senior leaders and Risk Owners on risk decisions, safely and efficiently.
To support our Group’s strategic transformation, you should have extensive knowledge in current technology and its risk management applications. We value innovation and aim to improve customer and staff experiences. You should have deep operational risk expertise, providing thought leadership and oversight to support the second line of defence. You will lead the implementation of risk policies, appetite, and controls to achieve strategic outcomes and provide pragmatic advice on risk decisions, balancing commercial interests and risk appetite.

What you’ll need
Deep knowledge of key security risks in financial services, with proven ability to assess and manage security threats using frameworks like ISMS, MITRE ATT&CK, PASTA, STRIDE, DREAD. Experience in information, cyber, and physical security domains, including identity management, data security, threat management, security architecture, cloud services, cryptography, and security operations. Curiosity about emerging technologies such as AI, Digital Ledger Technology, and Quantum.
Expertise in operational risk frameworks, with the ability to lead a risk centre of excellence. Strong decision-making skills, capable of analyzing complex data and making informed recommendations. Ability to interpret new regulations and anticipate impacts. Proven collaboration skills, working effectively with all lines of defence and external regulators. Inspirational leadership and coaching skills to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
