The Role:
Joining our supportive team as a Passenger Assistant, you’ll play a key role in enabling adults with learning disabilities to access a variety of personalised and meaningful activities, by accompanying them during their commute between locations. Your compassion, dedication and patience, will be a source of comfort for our services users, and enable them to enjoy a stress-free trip.
What you’ll do:
1. Provide reassurance: Ensure the safety and comfort of service users throughout their journey.
2. Adapt to communication needs: Support passengers with their preferred communication style, verbal or non-verbal, demonstrating understanding and respect for the individual as an adult.
3. Relay information: Accurately relay information to staff at drop off/collection, and liaise with parents, carers and staff from other organisations, always maintaining confidentiality.
4. Build relationships: Establish supportive connections with service users, their families, and colleagues.

Your working pattern:
10. You’ll work a split shift from 8:00 am to 10:00am and 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
