North Wingfield Primary & Nursery Academy is looking to appoint a qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children who have an EHCP. You will need to be a kind and nurturing person who is able to work as part of our dedicated school and have recent experience of working within a primary school setting and experience of working with children with SEN.
Redhill Academy Trust Pay Scale, Band 7. Scale points 32 - 36. Actual salary: £22,094.89 - £23,923.65 per annum (FTE: £26,141.85 - £28,305.58). 32.5 hours per week - Permanent, Term Time Only. Required to Start As Soon As Possible.
North Wingfield Primary & Nursery Academy is part of Redhill Academy Trust and member of Redhill College of Leadership and Development, offering CPD opportunities. This post requires safeguarding checks as part of the application process.
Responsibilities
* Provide classroom, individual, behavioural and administrative support as part of the teaching team.
* Support students with SEN and those who have an EHCP to access the curriculum and participate in school life.
* Assist with planning, delivering and completing learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.
* Assist with behaviour management and create a positive, nurturing learning environment.
* Assist with administrative tasks as required to support the teacher and school operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (or equivalent qualification/experience).
* Experience of working in a primary school setting and with children with SEN.
* Knowledge of the Special Needs Code of Practice is desirable.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; appointment subject to enhanced DBS and relevant checks.
