Do you have experience tutoring children with Special Educational Needs? Would you be interested in working as part of a collaborative team, providing the best access to education for our young vulnerable children?
Esland Grantham School are currently seeking a SEN Tutor who can deliver tutoring to small groups and on a 1-1 basis within the school, as well as in children’s homes via outreach services.

The role
We are looking for an outstanding, committed, and motivated qualified practitioner to contribute to teaching and learning within our homes and schools. You will support vulnerable children aged 8-18 years with SEMH and complex needs.
Our services aim to provide high-quality education in safe, respectful, and inclusive environments, building skills for successful outcomes. Pupils can access qualifications like Entry Level, Functional Skills, or GCSEs, depending on their level and aspirations. There are also opportunities to work towards ASDAN qualifications or Unit Awards.
This role is ideal for a passionate classroom practitioner eager to inspire and challenge pupils. A flexible, can-do attitude, drive, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor are essential. We value adaptable, innovative, child-focused individuals with diverse talents to enrich our curriculum.
What we need from you:
* Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), Level 3 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS), or Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or close to obtaining it
* Proven experience in specialist education for young people with SEMH
* Experience working with challenging young people
* Knowledge of vocational pathways and subjects
* Experience in one-to-one or small group tutoring
* Passionate about inclusion, conscientious, and committed
* Knowledge of results-based accountability in care and education
* Ability to plan, evaluate, and monitor learning and progress
* Ability to differentiate instruction to promote inclusion and attainment
* Strong relationship-building skills with young people and colleagues
* Highly organized with good time management
* Resilience, stamina, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills
* A positive attitude towards hard work and challenges
* A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
* A good sense of humor
