The academy invites applications from a dynamic, passionate and experienced leader who can shape the future of the Faculty of Social Sciences in a school committed to rapid improvement with a specialism in RE.
Olympus is a brand new free school that opened in Sandwell in September 2023, recruiting 180 students from Sandwell and Birmingham. The school caters for students aged 11 to 16. It opened with Year-7 students only, as a six-form entry school. Olympus will grow year-on-year to provide education for 900 students after five years. You will be at the front of architecting the environment, infrastructure and pathway to success.

Responsibilities
* Lead the Faculty of Social Sciences with a focus on rapid improvement and RE specialism.
* Develop and implement strategic vision for the faculty and contribute to the Senior Leadership Team.
* Lead the planning and delivery of the KS4 pathway as students progress to GCSE study.
* Support innovative practice, professional development and high standards of teaching and safeguarding.
* Manage and develop staff within the faculty to raise achievement and wellbeing.
Qualifications and Experience
* Well-qualified, experienced, motivated and innovative leader.
* Proven ability to lead a faculty or large team and drive improvement.
* Experience with curriculum development and school improvement initiatives; RE specialism is desirable.
* Full-time availability and alignment with the school’s values and mission.
* Salary scale: L1 to L5.
