Overview
Kingston Business School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Hourly Paid Lecturer to join our student-focused academic community within the Department of Accounting, Finance and Informatics.
The Role
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about education and committed to supporting the success of our diverse student body. You will contribute to the delivery of core modules including:
* Law for Accountants (Level 5/6)
* Business Law and Ethics (Level 6)
* Real Estate Fundamentals and Law (Level 7)
As part of the teaching team, you will design and deliver engaging learning materials, set and mark assessments, and provide tailored academic support to students. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our courses in line with Kingston Business School's commitment to inclusive and practice-informed education.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars and workshops across Levels 5-7
* Prepare and update learning materials that support student learning
* Design, set, and mark assessments in line with programme requirements
* Provide academic guidance and student support to ensure positive learning experiences
* Participate in course review, assessment standardisation and examination boards as required
* Contribute to the enhancement of teaching and learning within the subject area
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* A postgraduate qualification in Business, Law or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
* Experience of teaching in Higher Education, including preparation of teaching and assessment materials
* Evidence of inclusive and engaging teaching practice
* Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
Desirable:
* Fellowship of the HEA (or working towards)
* PhD or equivalent research/professional standing
* Experience of teaching at Level 6 and/or Level 7

Standard Kingston rates of pay apply and currently start at: £23.34 (including London Weighting, not including holiday pay) for both teaching and non-teaching hours. One lecturing hour includes preparation, delivery, follow up and related administration and attracts a multiplier of 2.25 increasing the hourly rate to £52.52. Non-teaching hours include tutorials, meetings, induction and invigilation.
This is a fractional appointment until 30 September 2026.
