Living Well Mental Health & Wellbeing Coach Work type: Field-based Location: Across Derbyshire (excluding Derby city) DBS: Enhanced Disclosure with Adults Barred List Salary: £24,545 per annum Rethink Mental Illness is proud to be delivering Living Well, a new, neighbourhood-based mental health service developed in partnership with the NHS. We are now looking for Mental Health & Wellbeing Coaches to play a vital role at the heart of this innovative service across Derbyshire. This is an exciting opportunity to support people living with complex mental health challenges to build confidence, resilience and meaningful connections within their communities. About the role As a Mental Health & Wellbeing Coach, you’ll work alongside people experiencing complex and multifaceted mental health needs, offering practical and emotional support that is shaped by what matters most to them. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll: Hold and manage a caseload of individuals with diverse and complex needs Provide one-to-one and group-based wellbeing coaching and support Help people develop their “My Story” and co-produce personalised recovery goals Support access to community resources, social prescribing, and wider services such as housing, employment and education Facilitate workshops, activities and peer support sessions across local communities Build strong relationships with partners, community organisations, carers and families You’ll be part of a VCSE-led workforce embedded within Living Well teams, helping to shape the future of mental health support in Derbyshire. About you You don’t need to “have all the answers” — but you do need the passion, values and confidence to walk alongside people in their recovery. We’re looking for someone who: Has experience supporting people with complex mental health needs, including serious mental illness Understands recovery-focused and person-centred approaches Can manage a diverse caseload and prioritise effectively Is a strong communicator and team player Understands safeguarding, risk management and information governance Is committed to learning, reflection and continuous development You may also bring: Knowledge of local mental health, health or social care systems Experience of community navigation or social prescribing A health or social care qualification (or willingness to work towards one) Lived experience of mental ill health is welcomed and valued.
